Pelican
Puppets was formed in 1992 and has performed shows and conducted workshops
all over Australia. Sean Manners has been involved in puppetry for
over twenty five years both here and |
||
Apart from running his own company he has toured with Norwich Puppet Theatre, one of the UK’s premier puppet companies and has worked with Welfare State International, one of the worlds leading celebratory theatre companies, building and operating large scale puppets and shadow puppetry. Sean’s philosophy is that puppetry is an ideal medium in which to let imaginations run free; to explore and learn many different skills, arts and crafts; and to express yourself in ways that other theatre forms may not easily allow. |

Pelican Puppets have been performing puppet shows in NSW, QLD, SA and Victoria since 1994 at festivals, events, shopping centres, agricultural shows and pre-schools. Two great glove puppet shows, based around the colourful English puppet character Mr. Punch and his friends, are performed from Pelican Puppets traditional style red and white striped compact theatre. This along with their portable PA system makes it ideal for any situation. Just a place for an audience to gather, sit and watch is necessary. |

Sean now spends half his life in and around Tasmania, and the other half travelling and touring across Australia. |
