  • Mannequin Mania - La Trobe (2007) - "Mannequin Mania” was a project commissioned for National Youth Week 2007 by LaTrobe Council, Northern Tasmania. Six large parade puppets were built by twenty students from LaTrobe High School over a three day period. The theme was “Launch Yourself” . Out of this came six very different backpack puppets including a Dragon, a bird, wasp, fairy angel, hippie and a frog. All these fantastic creations are being used at different events during Youth Week and beyond by the same students that created them. They were built utilising a lot of recycled materials sourced from the excellent tip shops that are everywhere in Tasmania.
  • Felicity Sweetlips - Port Sorrell Regatta (2007) - Felicity Sweetlips was a parade puppet that was commissioned for the 2007 Port Sorrell Regatta in Northern Tasmania. It was designed so that on the day of the Regatta members of the public who were visiting the event could design, draw and decorate their own fish scales which were added to the puppet throughout the day. Felicity then “swam” her way around the event. She is now being used as a display at special events throughout the Latrobe Council area.
  • Molong Stories (2006) - A five week Artist in Residency project run in Molong, a small town in the Central West of NSW, funded by Festivals Australia. Stories, tales and myths were collected, and the community were taught the skills to put these stories onto large banners in a pictorial form. These banners were then paraded during the very successful Molong Music and Arts Festival, and now form a permanent collection.
